Making the learning experience effective for students.
About Pathstream
Pathstream is an early stage startup that has a web-based platform for teaching in-demand tech skills.
On the Pathstream platform, students learn practical and technical skills necessary to achieve their career outcomes. Students “learn by doing” with formative and summative activities in the form of lessons and labs.
I was part of the early product team responsible for building up the entire Pathstream platform. We started with the student experience.

How it got started
At a venture studio (Entangled Group) focused on the education ecosystem, the idea of “learning by doing” fueled an idea for a new company. An early prototype was created to test and validate the idea. That idea stuck and quickly gained traction, which spun out Pathstream as a company.
The learning platform struggled to have a consistent and solid experience as it was built quickly as an MVP to secure funding.
Started with contract designer from Poland to get Pathstream as a quick MVP to secure funding and initial traction
Struggled to have a solid experience, lots of pain points
Labs came first as the idea of Pathstream was born from Entangled’s research on skills-based learning that lead to jobs
Lessons followed after to supplement the labs
